BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A 38-year-old Burlington man was shot and killed late Sunday night and police were searching for two men spotted fleeing the scene, police said.
Police were called to the North Avenue home at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of multiple gunshots.
The caller told police two men had pushed their way into the home before the gunshots. Additional callers reported a man had been shot.
The victim, Steven C. Martin, was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with gunshot injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Burlington police.
