BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - A second federal prosecutor has been added to the U.S. Attorney’s Branch Office in Bowling Green.
U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman announced on Monday that Mark Yurchisin was sworn in as a full-time assistant United States attorney. He joins Branch Chief Madison Sewell in the office that opened in February.
“I promised this community that federal law enforcement would work hard to be better partners in furtherance of our duty to protect families who live outside of urban areas like Louisville,” Coleman said in a statement. “To help fulfill that pledge, I could not be more pleased to again swear-in Mark, this time as a full-time federal prosecutor.”
Yurchisin, who is from Warren County, previously served as a part-time federal prosecutor and as an assistant county attorney and an assistant commonwealth’s attorney.
The Bowling Green office will work to prosecute violent crime, drug trafficking, child exploitation, federal firearms and fraud in the region.
