SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - A woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting and wounding her father in the Phoenix suburb of Surprise, police said Tuesday.
They said Samantha White was taken into custody Monday on suspicion of two felony counts of domestic violence aggravated assault.
It was unclear Tuesday if White has a lawyer yet.
Police said a caller later identified as White told police that she had shot her father.
Officers responded to the scene and said they found a man with a gunshot wound inside the home.
Police said the man was alert and was taken to a hospital for treatment. His name and age wasn’t available.
The circumstances behind the shooting or a motive weren’t immediately released by police.
White’s age also wasn’t released, but police said she was an adult.
