YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting in Yuma last weekend that left one man dead and another wounded, according to police.
They said officers responded Saturday to a call of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found one man with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
He’s been identified as 21-year-old Luis Delgadillo.
Police said a second man had a single gunshot wound and was taken to a Yuma hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
On Wednesday night, police were involved in a vehicle pursuit and three people were taken into custody and one man turned out to be a suspect in the homicide case.
Police said 24-year-old Izak Lucero was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and other multiple felony charges.
It was unclear Thursday if Lucero has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.
