MADRID (AP) - This season’s Spanish Super Cup will be contested by Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad, the Spanish football federation said Thursday.

The mini tournament will be held in the southern cities of Córdoba, Málaga and Sevilla due to the pandemic instead of returning to Saudi Arabia as originally planned.

Barcelona will face Sociedad in Córdoba on Jan. 13. Defending champion Madrid will play Bilbao the following day. The final will be played in Sevilla on Jan. 17.

Last year the federation revamped the Super Cup, expanding it from two to four teams, moving it to the middle of the season, and agreeing to a three-year deal to hold it in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
