OPINION:
I was sad to learn of the passing of former U.S. Sen. Paul Sarbanes, a dedicated man of integrity who served the people of Maryland with honor and decency.
He did not enrich himself in office. He saw government as a protector of the people. Maryland and the U.S. alike are “richer” because of him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.
