FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga, (AP) - Investigators identified human remains found by deer hunters in Georgia as a man who had been missing since 2018.
The remains are of Johnny Edgar Vickers, 42, of Flowery Branch, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday. Vickers had been missing since March 2018.
Deer hunters found the skeletal remains in December 2019, news outlets reported.
A cause of death for Vickers could not be determined by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab because of the condition of the remains, sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth said. Investigators have ruled out foul play.
