LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say they haven’t found criminal foul play in the death of a woman found on top of a mattress that was on fire in her home three months ago.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that police initially said 41-year-old Tara Shapiro died under “suspicious circumstances” on Nov. 24 but that Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield said Thursday that investigators “determined there was no crime.”
The Clark County coroner’s office ruled this month that Shapio’s s cause and manner of death were undetermined.
