GLADSTONE, N.J. (AP) - Commuters on Friday were using a shuttle bus after an NJ Transit train went off the tracks at the Gladstone Station.

The train was headed from Hoboken when there was a “slow-speed derailment” at Gladstone just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, NJ Transit Nathan Rudy said. He could not say how many cars went off the track and the incident was under investigation.

No passengers were aboard the train and the crew was not injured, Rudy said.

Crews are working to get the train back on the tracks Friday.

All regularly scheduled Gladstone Branch rail service on Friday was originating from Peapack Station. A shuttle bus was operating between the two stations.
