RENO, Nev. (AP) - A Reno woman has been sentenced to three months in jail for having sex with her 16-year-old foster son.

KOLO-TV reports 48-year-old Lori Wilson was sentenced Monday in Washoe District Court after pleading guilty to statutory sexual seduction. She also must register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say Wilson had several sexual encounters with her foster son in the spring of 2018.

Court records show the youth told investigators he was removed from the home and taken to his biological mother’s residence after Wilson’s husband walked in on him touching his wife in a sexual manner.

Prosecutors say Wilson’s husband contacted a foster care licensing worker last May and admitted he lied when he denied during an initial investigation that there was a sexual relationship between his wife and foster son. He eventually told investigators the couple gave the victim $200 dollars to lie about it.

Wilson turned herself into authorities the next month. She faces up to five years if she violates her probation after serving her three-month jail sentence.
