BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Buckeye man is facing a charge of attempted murder after allegedly shooting his girlfriend in a domestic violence incident.

Buckeye police say 24-year-old Lacory Antonio Hall has been booked into jail on multiple charges following Sunday night’s shooting.

They say the 22-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to her leg.

The woman’s name hasn’t been released.

Police received a 911 call about 10:30 p.m. Sunday about a shooting inside a home.

Witnesses identified the shooter, gave officers a description and said he left.

Police say they soon located Hall about a quarter mile away and took him into custody.

He wasn’t armed at the time, but Hall directed officers to where he believed the gun fell out of his pocket while he was on the run and police located the weapon.
