EDISON, N.J. (AP) - Two people were found dead after a fire in New Jersey duplex, authorities said.
Middlesex County prosecutors and local police said the fire was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Edison residence.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital but died shortly afterward, authorities said.
The identities of the victims haven’t been confirmed, officials said. The cause of death is pending autopsy by the county medical examiner’s office. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
