EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A Detroit man was charged in connection with the robbery and sexual assaults of three women in an apartment near Michigan State University.
Lamont Rodgers, 24, faces first-degree criminal sexual conduct, armed robbery, home invasion, assault and gun charges, according to the Ingham County prosecutor’s office. Rodgers was arraigned Sunday.
The women were attacked about 6 a.m. Friday after a man with a handgun entered an East Lansing apartment through an unlocked door. The apartment complex is about 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) north of the university.
The women are students at Michigan State, the Lansing State Journa l reported Monday.
Their injuries weren’t life-threatening, investigators said. They were treated by emergency workers Friday and taken to a nearby hospital.
Rodgers was arrested later Friday and is jailed without bond.
