BARRE, Vt. (AP) - A man has been arrested on arson charges in connection with a fire that destroyed a granite storage facility earlier this month in a Vermont city with a long history in the granite industry.
Barre police said Tuesday that Glenn Hill, 40, of Washington, Vermont, was charged with second-degree arson, setting fires, reckless endangerment and other charges. He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon. It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
The fire happened at Hard Rock Granite in Barre on Jan. 11. Investigators believe the fire was set, police said.
