CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A solicitor’s office in South Carolina filed court documents against two massage parlors where employees were allegedly offering sexual services for money.
Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson filed nuisance petitions Tuesday to prevent the owner of two Horry County massage parlors from opening similar businesses, news outlets reported.
Richardson said an outside investigator was hired to look into Massage Wellness in Surfside Beach and Horry Therapeutic Spa in Myrtle Beach, according to news outlets.
The investigator went to the parlors on three occasions and every time, an employee, “offered to perform sex acts to the investigator in exchange for money,” court documents stated.
Both businesses closed after the county notified the property owners, according to the court petition.
The Sun News attempted to call the parlors Tuesday but the phone numbers had been disconnected.
