MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Bond was set at $1 million for a man charged as an accomplice to a fatal shooting in Minot.
Michael Dennis II, 24, had been on the run for more than two weeks since the shooting death of 29-year-old Dominick Stephens and the attempted murder of a second man.
He turned himself in Wednesday and appeared in district court in Minot.
Police investigated a report of gunshots in a neighborhood Jan. 12 when a dispatchers received a report of a traffic crash near the Minot State University Dome, according to the Minot Daily News.
They found the driver of the vehicle, Stephens, had been shot. He was taken to Trinity Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Donald Cooper Jr., 27, has also been charged in connection with the murder. A third co-defendant, Marcus Lee, 22, pleaded guilty earlier this month to Class A felony accomplice to murder.
Judge Doug Mattson has issued a gag order in the case and sealed court records. No other details about the case was released.
