LeBron James woke up from his nap — and apparently soon after, he had a good laugh over Washington’s new temporary name.
After Washington’s NFL team announced Thursday it would go by as “Washington Football Team” until a new name was decided, the Los Angeles Lakers star and noted Dallas Cowboys fan chimed in on Twitter and poked fun at the new moniker.
James sent a tweet that included six laughing emojis.
Just waking back up from my pregame nap to see about The Washington Football team??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Is that real?? No way! Oh man they had a thorough intense long board meeting about that one huh. 🥴🤦🏾♂️

If James can’t be counted on as a fan, at least Washington can still claim Kevin Durant.
