SWANTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man is due to be arraigned Monday following a fatal shooting in the town of Swanton.

James Mulholland, 22 of Swanton, was held without bail on a first-degree murder charge over the weekend, state police said.

The victim, Kyle LaBelle, 32, also of Swanton, was shot in the stomach and chest on Friday and died at the UVM Medical Center, state police said.

Investigators say the two men knew each other, and the shooting followed an argument in which multiple shots were fired.

The incident was recorded on video by at least one bystander and a nearby surveillance system, police said. It was not known if Mulholland had an attorney.
