ATLANTA (AP) - A man arrested in a deadly shooting approached investigators at the scene and identified himself as the suspect, Atlanta police said.

Ricky Nelson Davis spoke to officers while they investigated the fatal shooting of Sheldon Morris on Monday, news outlets reported.

Davis, 53, was detained, questioned and then charged with felony murder. He was booked in jail without bond. It’s unclear whether he had an attorney who could comment.

Morris, 51, suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Police did not immediately release a possible motive for the shooting.
