ST. LOUIS (AP) - A human head found in a trash bin in north St. Louis in 2018 was that of a missing Ferguson man, police said Wednesday.
The victim was Demarko Sanders, 39, who has not been seen since Sept. 17, 2018. His head was found in a trash bin on Sept. 26, 2018. Police said the remains were burned.
Police released no further information on the case Wednesday, including whether they have any suspects in Sanders’ death.
“This investigation is ongoing. We have nothing further to provide at this time,” St. Louis police officer Michelle Woodling said in an email to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
