SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man outside a vacant Springfield hotel as a homicide.
Springfield police said in a news release that 63-year-old James Simmons, of Arkansas, was found dead Saturday outside of a building at the old Rancho Motel property.
Police said Simmons had injuries “consistent with being struck several times with some type of object.”
Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
