WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) - The suspect in a fatal Halloween night stabbing in Waltham has been apprehended, authorities said Sunday.

Jonathan Galindo, 33, was arrested on a murder charge in connection with the Oct. 31 stabbing of 61-year-old Kevin Fitzgerald, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham police Chief Keith MacPherson said in a statement.

Galindo is expected to be arraigned Monday. He was in custody and it could not be determined if he had an attorney.

Authorities did not disclose a possible motive, but said the men knew each other.

Police received a 911 call from the victim at about 9 p.m. on Oct. 31 saying he had been attacked in his home by a man he was unable to identify. Police located the injured victim alone in his residence. He was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital where he died.
