Alabama coach Nick Saban has tested positive for the coronavirus, the university announced Wednesday.
Saban, 68, left the school’s football facility after learning of his diagnosis. The coach tested positive along with Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne.
Alabama said in a statement the two men are self-isolating.
“All individuals who are considered high risk contacts have been notified and will follow quarantine guidelines,” the school said. “We will follow the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force Protocol for testing asymptomatic positives.”
No. 2 Alabama is set to play No. 3 Georgia this weekend.
