MIAMI (AP) - A car struck two women who were out jogging in Miami, killing one of them and critically injuring the other one, officials said.
Miami-Dade police told news outlets one of the women died at the scene near the entrance of a private school in the Miami Shores neighborhood.
Police say the joggers were trying to cross the street early Thursday but were not in a crosswalk. A 27-year-old man behind the wheel was proceeding through a green light at the time.

The women were not identified by name but both were in their 40s. Officials have not said whether speed was a factor.
