COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (AP) - An Arkansas man involved in a law enforcement pursuit in Kansas last week died after shooting himself, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Thursday.

An autopsy found Wesley Jordan, 32, of Hot Springs, Arkansas. died Friday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Independence in southeast Kansas, the KBI said.

The chase began after a reported robbery at an inn in Coffeyville. Jordan and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers exchanged gunfire during the pursuit, the KBI said. When the chase ended, Jordan got out of the vehicle and officers fired at him.



No officers were injured.

The driver, of the minivan a 26-year-old woman from Coffeyville, was arrested on charges related to the robbery.
