PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man who drives for a ride-sharing company has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a female passenger he picked up from a Scottsdale house party, according to police.

They said 30-year-old Mark Anthony Taylor was taken into custody Monday on suspicion of sexual assault and kidnapping.

He’s being held on a $100,000 secured appearance bond.

It was unclear Wednesday if Taylor had a lawyer yet who could speak on his behalf.

Police investigators said the 23-year-old victim told them she had no memory of what happened early Saturday, but she did realize her jeans were on inside out and her underwear was missing.

According to police, Taylor acknowledged that he knew the victim was drunk and attempted to convince detectives that the sexual contact was initiated by the woman.
