Washington defensive end Chase Young is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a groin injury, according to a report.

The NFL Network reported Wednesday that Young is week-to-week with a moderate groin strain. The 21-year-old suffered the injury in the first half of Washington’s 34-20 loss to the Cleveland Browns over the weekend.

Young, the second overall pick, had created quite an impact for Washington to begin the season. The rookie had 2½ sacks and a forced fumble in his first two games. He also drew the lion’s share of attention from opposing offensive lines.

Without Young, veteran Ryan Kerrigan figures to slide back into his starting role, where he started every game of his 10-year career before this season.

Ryan Anderson and Nate Orchard will also likely be part of the team’s defensive line rotation. Washington signed Orchard from the practice squad on Tuesday after placing defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis (torn bicep) on injured reserve.
