TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Police in Topeka have identified a motorcyclist and his passenger killed when their bike collided with a truck this weekend.

The crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday on Highway 24 at Meriden Road, killing Anthony Vardys, 46, and Tamara Vardys, 47, both of Topeka, police said in a news release. The driver was taken to a hospital and later died, while the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people in the truck were not hurt.

The investigation into how the crash occurred is continuing
