Urging a ‘bipartisan approach to the threat posed by a nuclear Iran’

OPINION:

I’d like to wish a warm welcome to today’s convention as you continue to fight for a free Iran. America stands in full solidarity with the Iranian people, and we echo their call for liberty, democracy, and peace. On the heels of yet another sham election, this changing of the guard can’t be just a blip on the radar.

We must take a unified stance in opposition to the oppression and tyranny that the hardliner Ebrahim Raisi represents.

I continue to urge President Biden to work closely with Congress to identify an effective and bipartisan approach to the threat posed by a nuclear Iran.
