OPINION:
The best way for the U.S. to avoid being involved in a war between Ukraine and Russia is to simply declare neutrality. In 1965 the U.S. remained neutral in the Indo-Pakistan conflict, and it did the same in 1971. The U.S. had interest in remaining friendly with both of those countries.
The U.S. should suspend and end military aid and coal shipments to Ukraine. It is time to tell Kiev we’ve had enough of its stubbornness over Crimea and the Russian-speaking regions. Ukraine can find plenty of countries to supply their military. We are not the only source of weapons.
