Biden to announce that U.S. is closing airspace to Russian planes

President Biden is expected to announce at the State of the Union that he is closing U.S. airspace to Russian aircraft.

The move comes after the European Union earlier Tuesday urged U.S. officials to ban Russian flights in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

The European Union and Canada have already shuttered their airspace to Russian aircraft.
