LANDOVER — There’s a large contingent of Green Bay Packers fans at Sunday’s game at FedEx Field, but the swaths of those wearing burgundy and gold still made their voices heard — with a notable message that filled the stadium.

Fans at FedEx Field chanted “Sell the team! Sell the team!” after Washington co-owner Tanya Snyder was shown on the video board in the second quarter of Sunday’s contest.

Tanya Snyder, who was appearing in a pre-filmed “Think Pink” video, was booed upon being shown. “Sell the Team” chants then broke out. The chants followed a tumultuous week for the Snyders as Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay called for the NFL owners to consider the removal of Commanders owner Dan Snyder in wake of Washington’s workplace misconduct scandal.

The Commanders said the Snyders would never sell.

On Sunday, the Commanders hosted their annual “homecoming” game, bringing back many of the team’s iconic players for its 90th anniversary. But the team legends weren’t enough to quell a disappointed — and angry — fan base.
