It is time for an open, sober, truthful dialogue between the races — and I believe it should start with the question: “What have radical liberals and Democrats done for Black America?”

The answer is, very little. They have brought illegals into the country so that gang warfare has increased in Baltimore and other Democratic-run cities. This has caused many ills. The influence of family has been replaced by gang identity and control. Doing well in school has been replaced with doing well in the gang, even killing to impress.

Living for a few years of drug use and drug money has replaced living for an educated, full life where one does something for others. As I see it, the political left has destroyed Black American culture.

Second, leftists and Democrats have been sending the message for years that Black America is less than other races. They have told Black people they need not try in school because they are not up to it; the schools will pass them on because they cannot pass on their own. They have said people must just give in to crime and that no one can fix poverty. Let the Democrats protect you, they say; we’ll get you out of jail time. We’ll give you all you need to live.

Liberals and Democrats want Black America to believe the drug life is all it deserves. They have said being on drugs is life in their cities, so getting drugs there is easy. No need to work, they say. “Poor Black America,” they whisper.

This will only continue if people keep voting for the Democrats who created and perpetuate these problems. Let the dialogue begin.
