Antisemitism is out of control around the world (“Thousands demonstrate against antisemitism in Berlin as Germany grapples with a rise in incidents,” web, Dec. 10).

I don’t want new federal laws, but I would like to have action taken at all levels of government.

Members of the Ku Klux Klan wore masks to hide their identities while terrorizing their victims. In response, local anti-mask laws were enacted. Today we have rioters and looters hiding their identities. Cowards hide behind masks to destroy things.

Antisemitism is anti-American, and it shows support for our enemies. Unfortunately, it’s rearing its head everywhere today. Our colleges are endorsing it, saying it’s protected by our Bill of Rights.

Well, our Bill of Rights is for our citizens, not foreign students or even diplomats. Hamas and its atrocious, murderous ilk are what gave us 9/11.

Foreign students and diplomats who support such groups should be deported immediately. In the United Nations — an organization that selected Iran of all countries to chair a forum on human rights — the majority of member nations have brought resolutions against Israel for supposed violations of these rights. It’s high time we identified and separated our friends from our enemies.

Demonstrators with masks should be made to remove their face coverings. At the very least, these cowards should have the courage of their bigoted, hateful convictions, and not be allowed to hide like members of the KKK.

We are in a more perilous situation today than we were before World War II. I will never forget the unedited pictures, shown in movie theaters decades ago, of prisoners being freed from Nazi death camps. Where are our real leaders?
