FBI, DOJ have become our KGB

OPINION:

Last week, CNN trumpeted that it had “exclusively obtained” audio of a 2021 meeting in which former President Donald Trump talks about having secret documents he had not declassified.

CNN did not “obtain” anything. A member of the special counsel’s team — maybe Jack Smith himself — had to have given the recording to CNN. Where else could it have come from?

This is just one more flagrant example of how key people in the Department of Justice and the FBI “leak” highly confidential and classified information to damage someone they are investigating (or someone who dares disagree with them).

In the best case, this is clearly grand jury information, the disclosure of which is a felony outside the prescribed legal process.

And these are the people sitting on their high horses, charging Mr. Trump with manufactured felonies for mishandling confidential information.

We have reached the point where, were I a juror in any trial in which an FBI agent were a witness, I would lean hard against believing anything he or she had to say.

The DOJ/FBI have become the American KGB, and President Biden is their Vladimir Putin.
