OPINION:
As anti-Israel sentiments and antisemitism reach an all-time high in America, it’s no wonder why a vitriolic letter supposedly written by Osama bin Laden and denouncing the Jewish people and America suddenly appears on TikTok (“Osama bin Laden’s ‘Letter to America’ goes viral as some youths make ties to Israel-Hamas war,” web, Nov. 16).
Timing is everything. Not only is there no proof the letter was actually written by bin Laden, it is nothing but propaganda. But even worse than the letter is the fact that young minds are soaking it up and buying into the ideology justifying bin Laden’s 9/11 attack.
Unfortunately, however, banning TikTok is not the answer. It would be like killing just one cockroach. Another will soon appear.
