OPINION:
As a patriotic American who loves my country, I read “Erasing the southern border is about more than flooding voter rolls” (web, Feb. 5) with great alarm and concern.
Our government has a constitutional duty to protect the property, safety and livelihoods of its citizens by safeguarding the borders and properly managing immigration. We are being invaded by millions of illegal immigrants thanks to a managed chaos plan set forth by the Biden administration to force Americans to accept a reduced standard of living as we devolve into a Third World banana republic.
As long as we have hundreds of thousands of homeless citizens wandering our streets, there are then not enough places to house these illegal immigrants, period. And our homeless population only continues to grow as our economy worsens under rampant inflation.
This is unacceptable. Illegal immigrants need to be repatriated to their home countries until we can civilly accept them.
The only way to stop this unprecedented treason is to impeach those responsible for the crisis — up to and including President Biden — and replace them with patriots who will put America first and act to reestablish a civilized border. A nation without borders is not a nation.
