The Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington was put on lockdown Wednesday morning to investigate a suspicious substance, according to Capitol Police.
Hazmat officers are on the scene. There were no immediate injuries reported. Police had directed staff and personnel to avoid the area.
NBC News reported that sources said vials of blood were sent to the Republican Party’s headquarters.
