OPINION:
As a voter, I continue to wait for the Democrats to realize that we Americans must exhibit unity to the world.
The current actions of Democratic congressional members and legacy media show a desperation to remain relevant. Their level of frustration with the Trump administration’s successes, such as tax breaks and border security, has gotten so bad that they seek out foreign events to speak ill of the president to gain an audience.
These are not the days when Presidents John F. Kennedy or Ronald Reagan spoke in foreign countries. In those days, there was respect for the office of U.S. commander in chief. Unfortunately today, the Democrats’ message is that President Trump is a threat to the world.
It seems they want foreign countries to pressure our president in order to gain any political advantage they can.
So the Democrats’ new message is hypocrisy and denial, rooted in social justice as their political platform and foundation for legislative policies. The chickens have come home to roost for the Democrats; rejection is the answer.
I recall them weaponizing the Justice Department, referring to parents as terrorists. They asked Trump Cabinet members during confirmation hearings about targeting political opponents, though that’s exactly what they did during the Biden Administration.
Democrats endorse the Southern Poverty Law Center, which was allegedly funding neo-Nazi hate groups while condemning the same groups in order to politically target the Trump administration.
They campaign as moderates, but once in office, they sign off on extreme left-wing policies.
Democratic supporters continue to deny that the left’s policies have failed and damaged our institutions. They endorse activities that have endangered many people. They express remorse for criminals, not victims.
Leftist judges released repeat criminals into our communities for four years while denying the proven strategies of the Trump administration.
When Democratic officials choose to embrace far-left perspectives to win a popularity contest, it is irresponsible. I understand differing opinions, but this isn’t helping.
