The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help finding a man accused of twerking at and attacking women in Navy Yard.
The police posted a picture of the suspect Monday on social media and said he is believed responsible for a simple assault in the 1200 block of First Street SE on April 19.

The man encountered a group of four women near the TD Bank in Navy Yard.
One woman told police the man started twerking in front of them and punched her when she tried to move away, according to a police report cited by WDVM-TV.
She said she tried to defend herself but was set upon and punched by the twerking man and another man who was not mentioned in the police post, according to the report as cited by WTTG-TV.
Another woman said both men twerked at and punched her, and a third woman said both men punched her after she tried to help her friends. The fourth woman suffered a hand injury but was not attacked directly, according to WDVM-TV.
