Early access to President Trump’s Truth Socials goes live — for a price.
The new, paid service from Trump Media & Technology Group launched Saturday, saying it’s providing premium access for the “highest-ranking Truth Social users,” including the president.
Wall Street traders willing to pay the upward of $100,000-a-month fee can access Truth API, for application programming interface, to peek at the sometimes economically consequential posts from the world’s most powerful man.
This is designed to give firms “a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths while advancing our strategy to monetize proprietary assets through a high-margin, recurring revenue stream,” interim TMTG CEO Kevin McGurn said in a statement ahead of the launch.
Such an offering would allow high-frequency traders tiny time advantages that could generate massive profits.
“Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” Mr. McGurn said.
Customers have started signing up, according to the media company.
Companies can sign three-year contracts at a discount of $60,000 per month, implying the company may expect Mr. Trump’s market-moving relevance to fade once he’s out of office.
The president was not explicitly named in the announcement, but he remains the largest Truth Social account, where he posts market-moving economic policies, political attacks on opponents and global affairs commentary.
The Trump family is the largest shareholder in Trump Media, the public company that operates Truth Social.
Trump Media lashed out at critics for mischaracterizing the service “out of ideological opposition to free markets or a failure to grasp the distinction between public and nonpublic information — or, quite possibly, both.”
Earlier this week, Democratic Sens. Adam Schiff of California and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts urged the Securities and Exchange Commission to probe potential violations.
“This appears to be an outrageous abuse of the President’s office for his personal benefit that undermines everyday investors and the integrity of our markets, while enriching Wall Street and other wealthy insiders,” they wrote in a Tuesday letter to SEC Chair Paul Atkins, a Trump appointee.
Mr. Trump’s posts have already proved to move markets.
Trump’s April 2025 “GREAT TIME TO BUY” Truth Social post came hours before he announced a 90-day pause on many tariffs, sending stock indexes sharply higher.
His posts on the U.S.-Iran war have swung oil prices up and down.
He also moved individual stocks, as shares of U.S. Steel jumped after he touted a foreign investment in the company, and Intel rose after he announced its new partnership with Apple.
The latest service move could be a massive revenue generator for Trump Media.
Stock in the Truth Social parent has plunged 75% since Mr. Trump took office as the company keeps reporting hundreds of millions in losses, meaning even a handful of subscribers would meaningfully move revenue.
