OPINION:
Has anyone else noticed that what passes today for mainstream journalism didn’t begin harping on the “affordability crisis” until Donald Trump assumed the presidency?
Indeed, if one didn’t know better, one would believe that it was the Trump administration, not Democratic governance, that created this crisis.
That’s thanks to a dishonest media that has been gaslighting the public into forgetting the truth: Today’s budgetary struggles began during the Biden era, with its profligate spending that unleashed historic 21% cumulative inflation prior to President Trump setting foot in the Oval Office.
The duplicitous partnership between much of mainstream press and the Democratic Party has befuddled, mislead and manipulated the electorate since the first Trump presidency — and that’s why half the nation believes Mr. Trump is evil. The other half – the more discerning 50% — rightly considers most of mainstream journalism to be the real enemy.
That the electorate might punish Mr. Trump and Republicans for not fixing the Biden administration’s mess by handing control of Congress to the Democrats this November would be the height of idiocy. It would send the message the electorate wants more of what caused the affordability crisis in the first place.
And lest the electorate puts the Democrats back into the congressional driver’s seat (or the presidency in 2028), it should be reminded of this fact: It was the Democratic Party that intentionally threw open the southern border to untold millions of undocumented migrants, violent foreign gangs, terrorists, deadly narcotics, human trafficking and the accompanying violent crime and cultural chaos that infiltrated our schools and neighborhoods.
After hearing from their own mouths the hatred of some far-left Democrats for America, does anyone really think they wouldn’t do it all over again if given the chance? Think about what you’re asking for before you pull the lever this November.
