Too many Christians in today’s materialistic world are being deceived by the lies of the faithless and the weak-of-faith who say that if Jesus loves you, then Jesus will give you lots of money.
It’s this prosperity preaching of the gospel that is leading many astray from the true words of God’s teaching, said Ray Comfort, evangelist, best-selling author, founder of Living Waters and host of the Way of the Master video program.
But that’s just one of the lies.
In his new autobiography, “Compelled: My Story,” Comfort talks about some of the real-life adversities that he’s had to overcome, even after accepting Jesus as his savior — and he wants other believers to understand, too, that following Christ is not easy.
In fact, he said, Christianity is a hard walk through oft-dark secular days, and it’s crucial to keep one’s eyes on Jesus at all times in order to stay on the right path.
