A Houston father says he was left stunned after his home security camera captured a DoorDash driver delivering his family’s food while completely naked.
Kiante Matlock told FOX 26 Houston that the incident occurred at his northeast Houston home on Monday. Mr. Matlock said he was inside playing a video game while his daughter was home when she noticed a notification indicating their order had arrived. When he checked his Ring camera footage, he discovered the driver had dropped off the food in the nude.
Mr. Matlock, who said he orders through the app frequently, disposed of the food rather than keep it and reported the incident to DoorDash, which later issued him a refund.
A DoorDash spokesperson called the episode “abhorrent” and said the company had reached out to Mr. Matlock directly.
“This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform,” the spokesperson said, adding that the company does not tolerate “sexual harassment or misconduct of any kind” and would assist law enforcement with any investigation.
DoorDash said the driver was removed for violating the platform’s community guidelines and encouraged customers who encounter similar behavior to report it through the app immediately and contact local authorities.
Houston police told FOX 26 that residents who experience concerning behavior from a delivery driver or other visitor should file a report and preserve any available video evidence, noting that potential criminal charges would depend on the specific circumstances and require investigation.
