OPINION:
As we approach the 250th birthday of our nation, our Founders would be alarmed and dismayed by our current state. They realized that unless elected representatives who loved the nation and its citizens and put those citizens’ priorities first, we could not survive.
Unfortunately, this concept and doing the right thing have been completely turned upside down by the Democratic Party. Today’s Democrats seem to unabashedly hate our nation, capitalism, heritage and over half the population and they legislate accordingly.
They obstruct any reasonable measures to protect our borders and election integrity and more. For example, even though 85% favor the SAVE America Act, nearly all the Democrats in Congress oppose it.
Sadly, the party that believes America is great and that we should put our nation and citizens first in all decisions appears almost inept when it comes to making our voters understand what the Democrats are truly trying to do. Everything the far left does is about igniting the next revolution, not solving the problems of our nation.
Our republic combined with our religion and freedom has created the freest, most innovative, prosperous and generous nation on the planet. But the Democrats are advocating for the antithesis of that: a godless, oppressive society that thrives on hate, anger, envy and division.
The Democrats want a government that stifles innovation, ambition and effort and insists that a strong work ethic and success should be penalized when it results in wealth. This is a sick, demented philosophy and system that has created nothing but poverty, misery, death and oppression everywhere it’s been tried.
Will we choose to continue the journey as a free, powerful, prosperous, lawful, safe and righteous nation — or will we choose to deteriorate into the next Venezuela, China, Cuba, Gomorrah or worse? Once it happens, there is no turning back.
Unless the Republican Party maintains control of the House and Senate this fall and wins big in all elections, we’re headed down a slippery slope going the wrong way. The GOP is clearly far from perfect, but it’s the best option available.
