America’s facing significant challenges in the global war for technology dominance, not the least of which is the line that must be maintained between citizen privacies and the need to capture data to fuel artificial intelligence development — something that does not concern key adversary China at all.

Keeping intact the Constitution while winning the A.I. war is a uniquely United States’ worry. And it’s one that Mike Hewitt, rear admiral, U.S. Navy, retired, and CEO and co-founder of IP3, an international energy and security firm, said is both critical and doable.

President Trump is taking some important steps in focusing on nuclear development and moving data center construction plans to military bases, Hewitt said.



In so doing, Trump is tying data center development to national security.
