Senate Majority PAC announced Thursday it is investing an additional $54 million in television ad reservations across four Senate battlegrounds held by Republicans, as Democrats look to expand the map heading into the fall campaign.

The super PAC, aligned with Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and the Democratic push to flip the Senate, said the new reservations include $24 million in Ohio, $17 million in Iowa, $11 million in North Carolina and $2 million in Alaska.

The group said the fall ads will target Republican senators and candidates over votes on tariffs, the war in Iran and cuts to Medicaid — issues Democrats have made central to their midterm messaging.

“These battleground senators and candidates put Washington Republicans and billionaires first, sending the bill to working families without regard and costing Americans more for gas, groceries and healthcare,” Senate Majority PAC spokesperson Lauren French said in a statement. “Injecting new resources into the four most competitive Senate races shows just how clearly the battleground map has shifted toward Democrats.”

The Cook Political Report, an independent campaign tracker, rates the races in Ohio and Alaska as “toss-ups.” They give Republicans a slight edge in Iowa, and Democrats a slight edge in North Carolina.

The new spending brings Senate Majority PAC’s television ad investments to more than $215 million this cycle, the group said. It has also made what it described as significant digital investments across the broader battleground map.

The group’s latest financial report filed with the Federal Election Commission showed it has raised $174 million this election cycle and had $126 million cash on hand at the end of June.

Its Republican counterpart, the Senate Leadership Fund, is on stronger financial footing.

The GOP-aligned super PAC reported $254 million in receipts this election cycle and had $239 million cash on hand at the end of June — giving Republicans a significant financial edge over their Democratic rival heading into the fall.

The Senate Leadership Fund earlier this year announced a $350 million plan to defend the GOP’s narrow Senate majority, with early spending focused on shoring up seats in Ohio, North Carolina, Maine, Iowa and Alaska. The group has also signaled interest in playing offense in Democratic-held seats in Michigan, Georgia and New Hampshire.

Majority Forward, a nonprofit aligned with Senate Majority PAC, has separately been airing ads in Alaska, Iowa, North Carolina and Ohio throughout 2025 and 2026 attacking Republican votes the group says have raised costs for working families.

Its partisan counterpart, One Nation — the nonprofit sister organization of the Senate Leadership Fund — is also on the air. Punchbowl News reported this week that the group is funding a $10 million television ad campaign in Alaska, Maine, Ohio and Iowa highlighting Senate Republicans’ work on behalf of military veterans.
