Country music star Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo are ending their marriage after more than 10 years together.
Jelly Roll — real name Jason DeFord — filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, known as Alyssa DeFord, in May in Williamson County, Tennessee, according to court records.
The two married in Las Vegas in the summer of 2016.
Ms. DeFord wrote about their love story in her recent memoir “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” detailing how they supported each other through difficult pasts, including her struggles with drug use and his repeated stints in jail.
Earlier this year, the couple spoke highly of each other.
Ms. DeFord told People magazine that “loving somebody at their lowest is one of the most beautiful things you can do, especially if they bloom and blossom like my husband has.”
At the 2026 Grammy Awards in February, when Jelly Roll won Best Contemporary Country Album for “Beautifully Broken,” he credited his wife, saying she saved his life and that he would have ended up “dead or in jail” without her.
