“The View” co-host Joy Behar announced Tuesday she is stepping away from the ABC daytime talk show for two weeks to perform her play overseas.

Ms. Behar made the announcement during the show’s “Behind the Table” podcast, where producer Brian Teta told her, “This is your last podcast for a little bit, because next week you’re not going to be here.”

Ms. Behar confirmed the show had pre-taped weekend episodes during her absence, explaining she will travel first to Paris before taking the Channel Tunnel to London for a second week of performances.

Ms. Behar wrote the play, “My First Ex-Husband,” and appears in it. She will perform it at the Boulevard Theatre in London’s West End. Actress Jackie Hoffman will co-star alongside two British actresses in the production.

Ms. Behar said her time in Paris ahead of the London run will also include writing in cafes and visits to art exhibits.

Several fill-in hosts will cover her seat during her absence. Sheryl Underwood, who previously filled in during co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin’s maternity leave, and podcast host Kara Swisher are among those tapped, according to Fox News. Ana Navarro, a part-time co-host, will also fill in. Whoopi Goldberg, who typically takes Fridays off, is set to appear on Fridays during Ms. Behar’s absence as well.
