OPINION:
Rep. Haley Stevens, Michigan Democrat, did not have a “breakdown,” as some on the left have suggested regarding her courageous endorsement of Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers over Abdul El-Sayed.
Rather, she had a breakthrough, choosing country over politics, common sense over the bizarre and her commitment to helping keep Michigan’s Jewish community safe over political pandering.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who is himself Jewish, called Ms. Stevens’ endorsement “despicable,” but he is no friend to the Jewish community. He certainly is not protecting Jews, as he claims to be doing with his endorsement of Mr. El-Sayed, an apparent terrorist sympathizer who seems to hate America, Israel and all Jews.

Instead, Mr. Schumer sits on a wobbly, three-legged stool, too cowardly to stand up to the left-wing radicals for fear of losing his coveted Senate seat.
